Description

microLYSIS PLUS – Part of Microzone’s FreeFrom product range:

microLYSIS Plus requires as little as a 7 minute thermal cycle to efficiently release cellular DNA from a range of cells, ready for downstream processing. The whole process takes place in a single tube and does not involve the use of solvents or other harmful chemicals usually required in traditional DNA extraction methods.

Replacing conventional extraction methods with microLYSIS Plus, significantly speeds up the time taken from cell to DNA amplification, without compromising results. Additionally, there is no loss of DNA during the process using microLYSIS Plus, unlike traditional DNA extraction methods which are based on columns, magnetic beads, and solvents.

microLYSIS Plus’s innovative buffer formulation stabilises DNA and enhances PCR. It’s use is proven with a vast array of cell and tissue types: large range of bacteria species, viruses, fungi, animal tissues (such as mouse tail and ear punches) and even whole multicellular organisms (such as Drosophila flies).

Storage: Long term storage at -20°C.

SIMPLE – EFFECTIVE – EFFICIENT

FreeFrom by Microzone

Microzone’s FreeFrom range incorporates a range of reagents that are:

    • Free from the use of Alcohols and other solvents.
    • Free from the use columns and magnetic beads.
    • More sustainable as they are single tube techniques that considerably reduce use of plasticware.
    • Equivalent to alternatives.
    • Rapid in processing samples.

  • microLYSIS Plus efficiency in lysing difficult plant cells – soya. Soya flour was prepared in the presence of microLYSIS Plus and two other commercially available lysis buffers (competitor A & B) followed by a heat protocol. Lysates were used for direct to PCR targeting the gene LE1 – Lectin Glycine max, 270 bp. PCR products were loaded onto 1% agarose gel for comparison. Average of bands was quantified and normalised considering microLYSIS Plus as 100%. M = 100 bp DNA ladder

Features of microLYSIS PLUS include:
