The Avian GEN ID Kit provides a fast and reliable method for avian sex determination using PCR amplification of the CHD1 gene. The kit utilizes the P0/P2/P8 primer set developed by Han et al. (2009), allowing clear differentiation between male and female birds.
Using microLYSIS Plus, a direct-to-PCR lysis buffer, DNA is efficiently released from feather or blood samples without the need for complex extraction steps. PCR-ready lysates are directly amplified, and results are visualized through gel electrophoresis.
