Description
The MAGneat FFPE DNA Extraction Kit provides a rapid and reliable solution for isolating genomic DNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. Utilising advanced magnetic bead technology, the kit enables efficient recovery of DNA from challenging FFPE material while minimising contaminants and inhibitors that may interfere with downstream molecular analyses.
FFPE tissues often contain fragmented and crosslinked DNA due to fixation and long-term storage. The MAGneat workflow incorporates optimised buffers and enzymatic digestion steps to help reverse crosslinks, remove paraffin residues and release DNA from preserved tissue sections. With its high-binding capacity and rapid magnetic response, the system ensures reproducible results and can be easily adapted for automated workflows.
The purified DNA is suitable for a wide range of downstream molecular biology applications, including PCR, sequencing and genomic analysis.

Two to three sections (10 µm thick) was used as input and extracted using the MAGneat FFPE DNA Extraction Kit or Competitor O. DNA concentration was measured using the Qubit 4 Fluorometer from ThermoFisher.
